DIOR MAN IN A CROSSFIRE OF LASER BEAMS
Dior Man and Kim Jones strike with a powerful campaign for the Pre-Fall Collection ’19, lensed by Steven Meisel.
What meets the eye first is a metallic variation of the house logo – newly interpreted by Hajime Sorayama, a japanese artist. He collaborated on the collection as well as on the Tokyo show décor with the artistic director of Dior Kim Jones. The hypnotic new logo reminds of the Atlantis movie (yes, the Disney Movie about the lost empire) and its glowing hieroglyphics.
Intertwining colored lasers reflect on metallic walls, sculpturally illuminating the creations and interacting with the shimmering effect of the clothes. the campaign’s retro-futuristic spirit captures the electric spectacle of Kim Jones’ show presented in Tokyo on november 30th.
“I WANTED THE CAMPAIGN TO CATCH THE ENERGY OF THE TOKYO SHOW, WITH THE AMAZING LASER LIGHTS OF THE FINALE”, Kim Jones, artistic director of Dior Menswear.
