DIESEL RED TAG x A-COLD-WALL*
heavy denim meets cerebral-industrial and avant-garde workwear
DIESEL RED TAG presented its new collaboration with A-COLD-WALL* by Samuel Ross on September 9th, 2019 in an installation format during New York Fashion Week.
The location’s concept was specifically designed to match Ross’ well-established cerebral-industrial aesthetic. Fluorescent tube-lighting, raw metal scaffolding, suspended garments and a film by Dexter Navy which globally debuted on the occasion emphasized his mix of avant-garde workwear and utility-focused details which were dyed with vegetables.
Following Shayne Oliver of Hood by Air, Glenn Martens of Y/Project and Gosha Rubchinsky of GR-Uniforma, Ross is the fourth to collaborate with DIESEL RED TAG.
Further, the use of devoré technique, translucent details and layering memory nylons (which have become somewhat synonymous with A-COLD-WALL*’s aesthetic) throughout the collection creates a great contrast with Diesel’s heavyweight denim. Thus, this collaboration is the perfect symbiosis of DIESEL’s iconic denim history on the one hand and Ross’ high-concept and intellectual designs on the other.
The full collection will be accessible in select retailers and online December 4th.
