90’s SUBCULTURE MEETS TODAY’S ZEITGEIST

What the Koch family touches turns into gold – literally in some cases of designer Maria Koch’s looks for the merch-collections of Berlin zeitgeist magazine 032c, when golden sequin-sleeves are meeting asymmetrical slip dresses. The new Buffalo London cooperation reflects this saying in a more metaphorical way: Merging two German cult brands, each standing for a specific youth era and the connected feelings of newness and connectivity, they release a part of commercialized subculture into the realms of today’s fashion. The 1990s and 2000s platform sneaker soles are combined with riding-inspired ankle boots and overknees and were previewed as part of the 032c COSMIC WORKSHOP ready-to-wear fashion show, held in late 2018. Magazine and brand were hosting a release event yesterday night at London’s luxury retailer Browns East.

Buffalo London by 032c will be available to purchase with select retailers globally on September 6, 2019

“It’s streetwear on steroids meets
old world craftsmanship,
because more is more,
contradiction is beautiful,
and we didn’t grow up
to leave our youth behind.”
